To say we are excited is an understatement! The building project is steaming ahead with the concrete slab to be poured next Wednesday. We are so lucky to be part of such a project. ... See MoreSee Less

This will be such a great asset for our kids in the 21st century ... sorry for being soppy, but my Dad built the old school in 1955 when U was in Kinder at St Xavier’s 😢

Marie Hobson. It’s great to know the brick walls that your Dad created remain as the base of our new structure. The large cross will be repurposed in the new build too. We’ve discovered it’s copper! I’m very excited to see the cross taken back to its original copper and it will be a feature in the new building. I really love that generations of many Gunnedah families are part of its history and that many of those families still have strong connections to our beautiful school. Exciting times for all of us, young and old. I can’t wait to show you around. 😄

During Health lessons, Yr 5 have been learning about strategies to stay mentally healthy. One strategy they focused on recently was to keep physically active.
Yr 5 were given a ‘Survivor Challenge’. Teams had to pretend they were stranded in the desert. They were provided with newspaper and masking tape to make a free-standing shelter. The shelter needed to be large enough to shelter 2 people.
There was some great planning, collaboration and creations made. (Some failed!)
